FRSITO
Brief
FRSITO is the Industry Training Organisation and Standard Setting Body for the Fire and Rescue Industry. Their site contains vast amounts of information for a large variety of users. They needed a complete re-organisation of their site structure to make all their resources easily accesiable by user type not information type. They wanted to keep all of their visual design intact. FRSITO also required their site to be updated by an administrator using Adobe dreamweaver.
Solution
User testing and feedback was gathered to pin point flow path problems and language issues within the site. The information architecture was re-designed by user groups rather than information categories making it easier for different users to focus their navigation path. The existing site was completely re-developed to work on a dreamweaver platform using library items and templates.
Outcome
The site is used intensley by industry members and consistently provides up-to-date easy to find information specific to user type. FRSITO has been consistently updated and used for several years to this day.
