Hang the DJs
Brief
Hang the DJ's is a DJ collaborative coming out of Wellington, New Zealand. nAs a promotional piece they needed a poster design that 'flipped them out', They wanted a design beyond the usual DJ nightclub look. It still needed to communicate clearly so the idea needed to be different but the execution tight with clarity.
Solution
Double Happy literally flipped the design on it's head. We collected various pictures of a typical DJ pose then switched the baseline. This literally visualised the name making the viewer take a second look and decipher the perspective. The type is bold and semi symmetrical with a classic hierical structure.
Outcome
The design has been used for numerious events and is the basis for a future website.
